If you’re new to the area, or you don’t like beer, or you’ve been living under a rock, then perhaps there’s an excuse to have missed out on Manchester Beer Week.
But otherwise, what the hell have you been doing with the last few years?
Something that doesn’t involve trying delicious ales and craft beers, tucking into beer-matched dining, meeting the brewers and hearing all about their passion and, well, getting a little bit tiddly besides?
More fool you.
In fact, even if you don’t like beer, it’s got more to add.
Last year’s major highlight was the doughnut and beer pairing party at Beatnikz Republic.
My heart still skips a beat.
And don’t even mention the Wild Beer Taco Takeover at The Beagle in Chorlton – I will short circuit my Mac with drool if I… uhoh, too late…
Anyway, this year there’s bloody loads going on, and it all starts on FRIDAY.
Excited? Me? Well…
The Pilcrow’s Summer Beer Thing is this weekend, and it looks epic, with 72 taps, loads of breweries and even a little something for you non-hoppers, as there will be an outdoor McrThreeRivers GIN and Aperol Spritz bar in SadlersYard.
Saturday sees the Dockyard become Dog Yard…
On Sunday, the pick has to be the Marble Arch with a brunch’n’beer combo that comes in one of the coolest proper pubs in town…
And then it’s a whole new week, so I’ll be back to chat about that later. Now, just time for a cold one before bed.
